 CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES

  • Students may have up to two items out at any given time. Exceptions include: Graphic novels, biographies, and How-To Draw books (only one per student at a time).

  • Most books check out for two weeks. After that, they are overdue. Students may bring in their book to renew for another two weeks as long as no one is waiting for that particular title. Exceptions include: Guinness Book of World Records which only check-out overnight.

  • Books are the responsibility of the student who checks them out. Any new damage caused to a book while it is checked out is noted on that student's record.

  • Return books to the media center book drop. Do not give the books to teachers or other students to return.

  • Reference books do not circulate. They are for everyone to use in the media center.

  • We will accept requests for new titles. Please ask Ms. Reese if you would like to add to the media center "wish list" of books to be purchased.
