• Graduate of Meredith College with BS in Child Development

• Achieved National Board Certification in 2009

• In twelfth year of education, eleventh year at McAdenville

• Have taught Pre-K through 5th grade

• Pinnacle Leader in Gaston County Schools

• McAdenville Teacher of the Year 2007-2008

• Wife to Tommy, mama of 7 year old Ethan and 1 1/2 year old Ty!

• Outside interests: singing, church work, cooking, reading, watching reality TV

• My philosophy of education is simple: Every child has the ability to learn. It is my job to figure out the best way in which each child learns, and then to make that learning fun and relevant to them!
